In recent months, the team of Digitalization, Innovation and Economic Development (Innovative Sofia), represented by Slaveya Georgieva, has been actively cooperating with the IURC Korea partners in the program. The last meeting between Sofia and Sejong took place on January 12, 2022, focusing on “public bike service” and “mobility as a service”. Other topics discussed include big data and confidentiality, and a visit by the IURC Korea team to Sofia is expected in May.

The Professional Association of Robotics and Automation (PARA) is organizing the first initiative that will help young people with ideas or projects in the field of robotics, drones, IoT, machine vision or artificial intelligence to reach a complete prototype. The fourth edition of the ICC City Lab was held from November 30 to December 10, where the team of Innovative Sofia took part in several discussions and two international group sessions and presented its four projects in the field of e-government and civic participation“. The Deputy Mayor for Digitalization of Sofia took part in the Powers Summit – Power, Listen!, organized by the Webit Foundation and the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria. He participated in the panel “Entrepreneurship” together with Asen Vassilev – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Daniel Lorer – Minister of Growth and Innovation, Stamen Yanev – Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, Lachezar Borisov – PP GERB, Plamen Danailov – PP ITN, Stanislav Anastasov – PP DPS.

In recent months, the team of Innovative Sofia has been actively cooperating with the partners from IURC Korea and IURC China under the Program for International and Regional Cooperation. The last meeting was held on December 15 with the participation of the team from the city of Sejong. The main focus of the discussion was the topic “Transport”, as the main goal was to create a discussion of common interests on the topic, as well as the presentation of good practices.

Sofia Municipality has developed a platform that allows citizens, using digital authentication, to apply for a change of address registration free of charge and at any time. Residents of three other Sofia districts – Slatina, Sredets and Vitosha – can now change their address registration entirely online.
