Enterprise Europe Network at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites you to participate in free online business meetings during the “Technological and Business Cooperation Days”, which will be held between 12–15 April 2021 during the Hannover Messe 2021. The event will focus on Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing solutions, energy-efficient manufacturing technologies, sustainable energy, and mobility measurement tools. Participants will be able to present their projects, products, or know-how and meet new business, trade, technology, and research partners. The registration deadline is 4 April 2021. The European Commission is offering free consulting services through Horizon Results Booster – a set of free specialized services for organizations and consortia, beneficiaries under the 7th Framework Program (FP7) and Horizon 2020 (current or completed). Services include improving the existing strategy for exploiting the results, developing a business plan and entering the market, commercialization strategies, and access to funding. The first calls under the European Research Council programme, the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027, are now open. The total funding amounts to € 1.9 billion in grants for the best researchers worldwide who want to work in Europe for groundbreaking scientific and technological discoveries that can serve as a basis for new industries, markets, and social innovation of the future.

Open and upcoming invitations:

  • The Starting Grants ERC-2021-StG call has been open since 25 February to support researchers creating their independent team or programme. The budget amounts to BGN 619 million and the application deadline is 8 April, 2021. 
  • The call for Consolidator Grants ERC-2021-CoG for established researchers who are consolidating their research team or programme will be announced on 11 March. The budget is EUR 633 million and the application deadline is 20 April 2021.
  • The call for Advanced Grants AdG for lead researchers is expected on 20 May, with a budget of EUR 626 million and an application deadline of 31 August 2021.

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with Eurochambers is organizing a presentation of the GLOBAL EUROPE initiative. The webinar will take place on 9 March 2021 at 11 a.m. at Zoom.

The presentation will include key projects funded by the European Commission that support European business. Participants will receive more information about EU free trade agreements, opportunities for access to EU-funded effective, free and professional services to help internationalise Bulgarian business in markets such as Latin America, China, India, Turkey, and Eastern European countries.
