How Does the Digital Twin of the City Look Like Through the Eyes of the Children
The GATE Institute at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” held a drawing contest for children with the theme “What does the city digital twin look like?”. The drawings of six young artists between the ages of 9 and 15 years received an award.
The contestants had to paint the city the way they wanted it to look like and to show what they would change to make it a wonderful place to live, with smiling and happy citizens.
The winners were announced on 27 November 2020 during the Researchers’ Night. Watch the video from the announcement of the winners and see their drawings.
Two months ago, the only big data development institute of its kind in the Balkans and Eastern Europe GATE officially launched its City Digital Twin project. Sofia Municipality is a partner in the project, and the first digital twin will be created on the territory of the Lozenets district. The project is part of the Cooperation Agreement for the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy of Sofia between Sofia Municipality and the GATE Institute.
