We Are Joining the Second Intelligent Cities Challenge Online City Lab on 16 – 19 February. Day One is Open to the Public.
In preparation for the upcoming 2nd city lab under the Intelligent Cities Challenge Programme scheduled for 16-19th February 2021, we kindly invite you to join the 1st day of the 4-day lab. It is fully open to the public between 1:00 pm to 3.30 pm, while the rest of the programme is open to the ICC participating cities and experts only.
Over 400 participants from the 126 selected cities from the EU and beyond are expected to join the 4-day online conference: ICC cities, lead experts, business representatives, knowledge community stakeholders, selected thematic experts, thematic network coordinators, EU and international mentors and speakers.
The main objectives of the Second ICC Lab include:
- Sharing reflections on trends, visions for effective recovery strategy and solutions
- Peer-to-peer review of ICC core cities’ assessment, vision and strategy
- Activating collaborations among cities within thematic networks
- Shaping topics and discussing solutions within interactive thematic action groups
- Providing transversal support on access to finance, procurement and open data
The programme of the first day of the 2nd ICC City Lab will focus on EU’s trends, visions, city strategies, solutions and lessons learnt for effective recovery; the role of cities for a green and digital recovery and how local ecosystem mobilization can support such a recovery; inspiring ideas on how cities can build back a stronger, greener economy and society
During the conference, the City of Sofia will share an overview of the key insights and preliminary findings regarding the city’s needs, visions, stakeholder interaction and near-term strategy for activities on the topic of ‘E-government and citizen participation’’, collected and analysed during Phase 1 of the ICC project via desk research, interviews with stakeholders, and during the two stakeholder workshop seminars. Sofia’s participation in ICC is led by Innovative Sofia.
