The team of Digitalization, Innovation and Economic Development (Innovative Sofia) accepted the invitation by the organizers of Digital Days of Vienna 2021 to join as a panellist on the topic of digitalization and sustainability of cities.

The event will take place on October 18th and 19th and will be held in a hybrid format. The key question posed for this year’s edition of Digital Days Vienna is “How can digital tools and services help cities be more resilient and climate-friendly?” You can find the full program of the event here.

The Deputy Mayor for Digitalization of Sofia Gencho Kerezov will have the honour to be part of the panel discussion “Cities exchange digital know-how”, which will take place on October 18th from 15:00. (CET). Other cities that will be represented during the discussion are Vienna, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam and others.

The purpose of the panel discussion is to cover topics such as the challenges and implementation of innovative urban solutions, which leads to the question “In what ways do technologies unite or divide us and how can they support international cooperation between regions?”. The discussion will be accompanied by the sharing of success stories, know-how and ideas for synchronization in the administrative and technical level.

Other topics that will be in focus during the event are:

“Costs, benefits and effects of future technologies”;

“Digital Network Logistics and Mobility”;

“Digital awareness and participation”;

“Digitally supported living, buildings and resource management”;

“Digital work and sustainable production”.

The conference aims to connect the authorities, the administration, and the ICT sector, and the general public of over 1000 participants for this year’s edition.
