Стартира новата услуга на Центъра за градска мобилност (ЦГМ) – The Urban Mobility Center (UMC) of Sofia has launched a new service – a one-time travel electronic ticket. The e-ticket is valid for 90 minutes from the moment of its validation for the metro and the ground public transport and is available online through the MPASS application at sofia.mpass.bg.

The ticket can be purchased via a mobile device. Payment is made by adding the ticket’s price to the user’s bill for mobile services delivered by the national operators, as well as by a credit or debit card. After confirmation, the e-ticket is received on the mobile device and has a secure QR code.

At least 60 seconds must pass between the purchase and the validation of the ticket. Then the passengers must proceed with the obligatory e-ticket validation by scanning the QR code from the screen of their mobile phones via the validators in the metro or in the public transport vehicles.

During a ticket check, the passengers must show the screens of their mobile phones with the visualized QR codes of their e-tickets.

The new service is part of UMC’s smart e-ticketing system that aims to provide new convenient and secure solutions for the passengers in Sofia.
