Sofia to Receive Expert Technical Assistance from FutureGov as Part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Digital Innovation Initiative
Sofia participates in Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Digital Innovation Initiative. The programme is aimed at accelerating digital innovation to improve critical services and deliver better results for residents. Over the duration of the two-year program, the City of Sofia will receive expert technical assistance from FutureGov, a London-based firm that partners the initiative, including design support to focus intensely on and transform one resident-facing service to deliver better outcomes for residents.
Digital transformation of public services is a key priority for Sofia. Sofia has introduced 50 e-services and is in the process of further digitalizing services for the citizens and the business. Our aim is to offer accessible, convenient, modern and user-centric services and to provide a need-driven, holistic, “one-stop-shop” approach.
In addition to receiving expert technical assistance from FutureGov, Sofia will also have the chance to collaborate and share knowledge with other participating cities such as Dublin, Prague, Tallinn, Bratislava, Budapest and Helsinki.
FutureGov is headquartered in London and has offices in the UK and Germany. It has consulted more than 100 local, national and health authorities and holds a strong track record, supporting public organisations to deliver the highest quality, citizen-centred services that have a lasting impact for all through innovative design, technology and organisation development approaches.
