Sofia’s participation in the International Urban & Regional Cooperation (IURC) program provides new opportunities for the capital to be part of an international network for the exchange of digital cooperation.

The team of Digitalization, Innovation and Economic Development (Innovative Sofia) is already actively cooperating with the partners from IURC Korea and IURC China under the program. The latest topics of the discussions focus on the priorities of the participating cities, pilot projects for joint development and sharing of know-how between each of the cities.

At the invitation of IURC China, Innovative Sofia will participate in the two upcoming online training series, which cover the topics of “Regional Development” and “Urbanization”. They will take place on November 4 and 5 at 9:00 AM (CET).

Through an in-depth discussion in the context of China’s regional development, these online sessions aim to identify challenges and present strategies implemented in China’s regions. The training will enable the European participants to learn more about the social, economic and technical context behind the creation of such strategies, as well as to identify potential pilot areas for future cooperation.
