Оn 22 October, the Sofia City Council unanimously approved the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for Digital Transformation of Sofia. The document is a “road map” which outlines the indicative activities for the practical implementation of the Strategy.

Activities include: creating a “sandbox” for pilot projects and testing innovative technological solutions proposed by the Sofia-based technology companies; building an open data platform; digital transformation of the document flow within the Sofia Municipality, the regional administrations, and the municipal enterprises; development of a model for efficiency of communal services, among other.

The indicative activities list can be updated or expanded over time. The work on the various activities will be carried out in the next 2-3 years.

The Action Plan was also included in the discussions with the Digital Board of Sofia and was among the topics of the Board’s first meeting in early October.
