Hack the Crisis Bulgaria 2020 Open Call

1 April, 2020

Innovative Sofia supports the hackathon Hack the crisis, which aims to bring together business professionals, IT experts and resourceful people from the humanitarian professions to jointly build projects that help combat Covid-19 in Bulgaria and the effects of the pandemic. Deputy Mayor Vladimir Danailov will participate in the jury and our team will look among the ideas for solutions benefitting the city and we will connect teams behind them to the relevant units of Sofia Municipality for assessment of the potential and feasibility of the projects.

#HackTheCrisis is organised by Power of BG – a community that brings together successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs and innovators.

Be part of the 48-hour online hackathon where you can win thanks to a good idea, which will help deal with the coronavirus crisis and its consequences in our country.

When: Friday, March 27 from 6:00 pm, the finals are on March 29.

Where: Everything will happen online on the Slack and Zoom platforms.

Enrollment is already underway at hackcrisis.bg, and you can follow the event on Facebook here.

If you have an idea or wish to participate, but do not have a team or like-minded people – this hackathon is right for you. In the SLACK channel Looking_for_team, people with ideas can find their teammates, united by the three main topics of the hackathon:

  • Save lives
  • Save communities and groups of people
  • Save businesses

People and teams are invited to come up with and develop innovative ideas and system prototypes. Throughout the event, participants will receive guidance and advice from mentors, who are among the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, and the event will be available to watch live on the event’s Facebook page.
