“Active Youth for Prosperous Societies” is held between July 5th and 8th by the Bulgarian school for polytics

Representatives of Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia are the 40 participants in the four-day international forum organized by the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitar Panitza” (BUP). “Active Youth for Prosperous Societies” started on July 5 and will last until July 8 at the St. Sophia Hotel in the Bulgarian capital.

The event is supported by the European Union through the Erasmus + program and aims to promote regional cooperation between young people, to develop their leadership and entrepreneurship skills, to create transnational networks to address key political and social issues, to promote active exchange of information and the sharing of good practices.

The opening of the seminar “Active Youth for Prosperous Societies” was attended by the Member of the European Parliament and current student in the National Program of BUP Tsvetelina Penkova. In the coming days, the young participants will have training panels on leadership, communication, science and education, entrepreneurship. They will meet with some of the most prominent professors in Bulgarian and foreign universities, business representatives, governing world organizations in Bulgaria. Divided into smaller groups and led by moderators, young people will solve training cases and tasks to reinforce what they have learned.

On the penultimate day of the forum, on July 7, the participants will visit the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, where they will be received and will talk with the Vice President Mrs. Iliana Yotova, will be received in Sofia Municipality by Deputy Mayor Gencho Kerezov, with whom will hold active talks on the innovation policy of the municipality and the role of young people in making innovative decisions for enhanced development of the city. An information and educational tour of the building of the Bulgarian Parliament was organized for the participants.
